The Year of the Panda

This book is a straightforward and heartfelt story about a young boy, Lu Yi, in rural China who rescues and helps a sacred Daxiong mao Panda. As Lu Yi takes responsibility for the Panda cub and nurses it back to health, he begins an adventure that opens his life up to new possibilities he had never even considered and may change his entire future.
